This Kokum Chicken Wings Curry reciepe  I learnt and Discovered From My in laws Residing at Chakala Mumbai , It’s a very very rare reciepe which im sharing with you all  Many of them infact are not aware or familier of this  lip-smacking delicious reciepe ! The specialty about this recipe its Spicy / Sour / Salty  in taste and with just 7 Ingredients Chicken Wings , Garlic , Lemon Juice  Kokum , Bottle Mutton Masala , Oil and Salt hence its very easy and quick to cook as well

 What is Kokum?  Kokum is dark purple to black sticky fruit with curled edges. It is usually available as a dried rind, Resembling a thick plum skin. When added to food it imparts a pink to purplish colour and sweet  / sour taste to it.

This Kokum Chicken Wings Curry is served  Especially with Hot Chapatis or Handmade Rice Rowtys                         

Why  Chicken  Wings :   

1 kg Chicken Wings ( Only ) 20 to  22 pieces of washed cleaned ready to use     
If you Try to use the whole Chicken Meat  it wont taste as good as the Chicken Wings
So please make sure to use only the Chicken Wings
Chicken Wings also helps to impart its own natural Gelatine to the gravy
When you cook Wings for longer period of time The gravy naturally tends to get stickier & thicker  without additional ingredients   


Ingredients Required To Make Kokum Chicken  :

½ a lemon juice
2 teaspoon of  Salt or as per requirement  
2 to 3 tablespoon full Bottle Mutton Masala
15 pieces of  Kokum ( Not Too Much ) soak this in a small bowl of cold water
2 whole pods of Garlic peeled ( small size ) with a flat spatula smash them
1 whole pod peeled Garlic ( incase they are big size )  with a flat spatula smash them
½ Cup we need Generous amount of Oil     


Method of preparation : 

Heat a cooking  vessel on medium heat
Add ½ cup of Oil you need good quantity of oil to make this dish
Then add smashed Garlic Pods on slow flame saute and fry until soft and flavor erupts
Do not burn or brown the Garlic 
Then add Chicken wings and along with the garlic saute until  ½ cooked  
Then Add 2 to 3 tablespoon of Bottle Masala
Start sauteing   not allowing the Masala to burn
Add very little water or best is to add Kokum along with the water in that bowl
Then add sufficient salt this dish is Sour Spicy & Salty
So make sure Enough Salt is added
Then lower the heat and cook these Chicken Wings until soft and thoroughly cooked
This Dish goes very well with handmade Rice Rowtys , Some prefer with Steam Rice But My preference as always been Hot Chapatis and Rice Rowtys
