The other Name is Jew Fish for Gholi Ch Maura , is considered
amongst the Most-Expensive variety of the Marine Fish.
Ghol’ Fish is actually huge and its comes with Skin & Boneless Cut
in Cubes , After Filleting the Fish The
Center Bone Is what We call it Kantta is
sold too at an exorbent price And its with this Kantta we end up making this
Delicious Curry which is why we call it
Gholi Cha Kantta
This Curry goes perfect with
Steaming Hot White Rice , and I bet some of our East Indian Folks might love to
dip in Handmade Rice Rotis too
Ingredients Required :
But Here ive used Boneless Gholi Fillets
to make this Green Curry
So pls bring in approximately 8
pieces which I guess is good for 4 persons
Wash it through cold water and set
aside
Prepare the following ingredients to
make the gravy
½ Fresh Scrapped Coconut
8 to 10 Green Chillies Roughly chopped
6 Garlic Cloves Roughly chopped
1 Inch Ginger Roughly chopped
1 Tablespoon Whole Dhaniya Seeds
½ Tablespoon Whole Cumin Jeera Seeds
½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
Grind to paste the above ingredients in the mixer adding little water to
make a Medium thick paste
Seperately Cut
1 Big size Onion finely chopped
1 Medium size Tomato finely chopped too
Method Of Preparation
Switch on the flame to medium heat , Heat your cooking vessel moderately
Add 2 Tablespoon of Oil
Drop in finely chopped Onion and bagar it until soft and transculent
Then add finely chopped Tomatoes also fry it until it dissolves turns soft
and pulpy
Then add the above Green Ground Masala , Now cook this Masala on low heat
very well until the Oil seperates
Add required amount of Water to make sufficient gravy for 4 person
At this point add ¼ Teaspoon of Tamarind Pulp ( Very Little )
Give it a Gentle Stir increase your heat to High and bring this gravy to
full boil
Add required amount of Salt
Finally add the Ghol Fish Fillets and cook for about 5 minutes
Then lower the Heat and allow the Curry to Simmer on low heat for about 2
minutes
When its finally done you can sprinkle little bit of finely chopped green
coriander leaves
Serve This Ghol Fish In Green Masala Curry With Steam Rice
