Fish being the staple food of East Indians From Mumbai and other
parts of Maharastra , Fish curries is most favorite amoung majority of our East
Indian Folks , The basic Coconut gravy is almost the same for any kind of fish
or Seafood with slight variation
Fetch 6 to 8 Boi Fish Cut Clean it's stomach and Gills ,then wash it twice or thrice under cold
water and simply set aside .
Ground
Masala :
4 Green Chilles roughly Chopped
1/2 wati fresh wet coconut grated and Scrapped
1/2 cup chopped Coriander leaves
3 to 4 Chopped Green chillies
1/2 inch Chopped Ginger
4 flakes of roughly Chopped Garlic
2 Tablespoon Full East Indian Fish Masala
Grind all this above ingredients to fine consistency gradually
adding 50 ml of water as and when Required
Other Ingredients :
2 Finely Chopped Onions
1 medium sized Tomato finely chopped
2 tablespoon finely chopped Green Coriander Leaves
3 tablespoon Oil
Salt as per requirement
1 Marble sized Tamarind ball diluted in Luke warm water extracted
juice or use 1 Teaspoon Tamarind Pulp add up when you are grinding your wet
Masala
Method
of Preparation :
Heat your vessel Add 3 Tbls of of Oil
Add 1 finely sliced onion and bagar it until soft and Transparent
Add 1 Medium sized finely chopped 🍅
Tomatoes also saute and bagar it along with onion until soft and dissolved then
Add Ground Masala over low heat then fry till oil seperates
Add required amount of water
to make your gravy by an inch
Then add your Boi fishgemtly mix to submerge them into the
gravy
Add salt as per your taste and requirement
Bring it to full boil lower heat and simmer for about 10 minutes
Once the Fish is throughly
cooked
Garnish with little bit of chopped Green Coriander Leaves
Switch off the 🔥
flame and let it simmer in it's own heat
Serve it hot with Steamed Rice and some prefer to enjoy this Dish with ✋
